Entrepreneurship in Community Renewable Energy in England

The Small Business Research Centre, Kingston University, is conducting a study which aims to investigate the nature of and the knowledge and skills required to realise innovation and entrepreneurship within community energy projects in England. The study forms the second stage of the wider ‘KAVERN’ project, which explores the challenges and activities of entrepreneurs working 'against the grain'. This second phase focuses on communities and the entrepreneurial activities that contribute to the creation of sustainable pathways to enabling renewable energy. The study will benefit our understanding of the growth of low carbon communities across the UK, the challenges they face, how to improve existing practices, and how to help communities to learn from each other.
