Repowering London is a Community Benefit Society specialising in co-producing community-owned renewable energy systems with local people, businesses and local authorities. Repowering is driven by a commitment to creating local energy within socially deprived neighbourhoods and challenging urban environments.

Our projects not only generate renewable electrical energy but also ‘social energy’: building empowered, resilient communities and addressing fuel poverty and lack of employment opportunities for young people.

Recognising the value of local skills and knowledge, Repowering acts as an enabler providing individuals and community groups with the tools and guidance to facilitate grass-roots project development. We involve local residents in each step of the process from the technical, finance, legal, marketing and community engagement through a year long mentoring and training programme.
