A sociable evening of films, speakers and debate about climate change action in the Hope Valley

Transition Hope Valley invites you to a sociable evening of films, speakers and debate about climate change action in the Hope Valley at Hathersage Memorial Hall on Monday 24th June, 7pm for 7.30-9.30pm.

Find inspiration for your next step from a series of short films and talks showcasing different ways in which communities and groups are taking action both nationally and locally. You’ll hear from Extinction Rebellion, Friends of the Earth, Derbyshire Climate Coalition and Transition Belper. Afterwards, there will be the opportunity for the audience to discuss some of the issues raised in conversation with the speakers. If you’ve ever been to a Pecha Kucha evening, this is the kind of atmosphere you can expect.

There will be a wide range of other campaigners and active groups there too including Peak District Against Fracking, Sustainable Hayfield and Sheffield Climate Alliance to give you a taste of what’s going on in and around the Hope Valley.
