Energy for Business Grant Scheme

Businesses in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire can access funded support for energy projects from the University of Nottingham as the result of 'Energy for Business', a programme supported by the European Regional Development Fund.

We work with local businesses every day in a variety of ways. For example, we can find an academic to offer specialist advice on a particular subject, identify equipment or facilities for help in product development, place a student into your business to work on a specific project, or provide bespoke training for staff.

Funding is available to boost your business, with grants of up to £10k on offer to successful applicants. The capital grant is for businesses who wish to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions or who are implementing sustainable energy technologies. The Programme can fund 50% of an energy related project, up to a maximum of a £10k grant (maximum project cost of £20k).

If you are interested in applying for funding please email: energy@nottingham.ac.uk with a brief outline of your proposal.

Note: To apply for funding you must be an SME based in the D2N2 region (Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire). Recipients will be chosen by an independent panel and their decision will be deemed to be final.

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 30/11/2017
