Community Renewables Finance model

The finance model toolkit is designed to enable users to understand and carry out assessments of the indicative financial performance of a community renewable energy project using the Community Renewables Toolkit Project Finance Model.

This early stage model will enable communities understand the potential profitability of renewable projects before deciding whether it is worth undertaking further technical and financial due diligence to develop the idea further. At a later stage groups would be expected to employ their own consultant who may approach financiers on behalf of the community.

Useful for:

  • Community groups
  • Community business groups
  • Social enterprises
  • Rural-based businesses.
