As part of the ESIF (ERDF) Technical Assistance Project, South Yorkshire Forest Partnership is organising a new workshop on the 5 July 2016 at Sheffield Town Hall.

This workshop aims to bring together a cross-sector of SMEs, Social Enterprises, Charities and other partners who are based or work within the Sheffield City Region and are interested in exploring the opportunities offered by the ESIF funding for Low Carbon Projects. The workshop will be used to identify new project ideas and to help shape the focus of future P4 - ERDF calls.

You will have an opportunity to listen to the latest best practices around Low Carbon ERDF funded projects and to see what other LEPs are doing around for the Low Carbon agenda. The workshop will be a key opportunity to discuss your project ideas for future Low Carbon projects and to start building partnerships and networks.

In the SCR, Priority 4 Axis - Supporting the Shift Towards a Low Carbon Economy in all Sectors - supports projects that promote:

  • Production and distribution of energy derived from renewable sources (P4a)
  • Energy efficiency and renewable energy use in enterprises (P4b)
  • Energy efficiency, smart energy management and renewable energy use in public infrastructure (incl. public buildings and housing sector) (P4c)
  • Low carbon strategies for all types of territories, in particular for urban areas, including the promotion of sustainable multimodal urban mobility and mitigation- relevant adaptation measures (P4e)
  • Research and innovation in, and adoption of low carbon technologies (P4f)
